Lizzie Newell is a self-published author who writes and designs science fiction novels. Her books Sappho’s Agency, and The Fisherman and the Sperm Thief are available online and through bookstores. The next book in the series, The Tristan Bay Accord, will go live in February 2017.

She studied graphic design and literature at Colorado State University as part of a BA in Arts and Humanities. She continued her studies in illustration and sculpture at UAA, earning a BFA in studio art. Her preferred medium is paper which she makes into models of boats and planets. She views book design as a form of paper sculpture and applies her skill to assisting other writers as well as producing her own books.
